The Babylon Village Historical and Preservation Society
held its first Children's Winter Tea
on Sunday, February 20, 2005 at the Village Museum.
Dressed in their Sunday best, the children, ages 4 to 10,
enjoyed a traditional tea right down to
peanut butter and jelly tea sandwiches
and cookies and other sweets.
They also learned about the history
of tea and  tea etiquette.
 
The success of this event was overwhelming and the
Historical Society plans to hold more teas just for children.

The Heritage Quilters also handcraft quilts
year round for veterans homes, abused children, orphanages
overseas, local fire departments (for those who've lost
property due to fires), nursing homes, and for the
Holiday Boutique held at the museum.

The Heritage Quilters meet at the Village Museum every
Tuesday morning at 10 AM and new quilters are always
welcome. For more information about the Heritage Quilters
and/or to purchase raffle tickets call 631-669-1756.
